During his career he became the senior operating executive for a $14 billion trust and investment division of a regional bank. He served as the foundation representative of a Forbes 100 person in support of a $100 million university donation. He was a consultant for the Family Business Foundation, addressing issues with the inter-generational transfer of family business. He was volunteer Chairman for the Friends of Louisiana Public Broadcasting, when NPR named the organization as the most effective public television board in America.

Tracy is or recently was a board member of the Broward Educational Foundation, Broward American Red Cross, Broward Committee of 100, The Tower Forum and the Planned Giving Council of Broward County. He is active with Financial Executives International, a national collegiate alumni association, So. Florida Marine Industry Association, Gold Coast Venture Capital Association, Broward Alliance, and United Way.

Tracy served as President and Chief Operating Officer for a publicly held, highly profitable, specialty retail chain that grew from $6 million in revenue to $800 million during his eleven year tenure. He managed corporate turnarounds for venture capital groups and company founders in businesses sized from $10 million to $150 million in revenue. He represents clients on corporate boards. He was the executive director of a $300 million quasi public venture capital/loan guarantee Agency as part of a statewide effort to stimulate growth and success of small business, with emphasis on women and minority owned businesses.

Tracy holds BS and MS degrees from Louisiana State University with majors in management, finance, and accounting. He graduated from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania Wealth Management Certification Program, completed the Harvard University Retail CEO Seminar Program, the National Trust School of Northwestern University in Illinois and studied at St. Mary Law School in San Antonio. He is a published author in academic and professional publications.
